Barbara Scherer
Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration and CFO
Barbara Scherer joined the company in April 1997 as Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer, and was promoted to Senior Vice President in March 1998. In this position, she is responsible for all aspects of the company's financial management, as well as information technology, legal and investor relations.
Barbara also serves on the board of directors of Netgear, Inc., a global networking company that delivers innovative products to consumers, businesses and service providers and is publicly traded on the NASDAQ.
Prior to joining Plantronics, Barbara held various executive management positions spanning eleven years in the disk drive industry culminating as SVP and CFO of Micropolis Corporation. Earlier in her career, she was an associate with the Boston Consulting Group and was a member of the corporate finance team at ARCO in Los Angeles. Ms. Scherer served as a director of Keithley Instruments, a publicly traded test and measurement company from September 2004 to December 2010 when Keithley was acquired by Danaher Corporation. She is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara and received her MBA from the School of Management at Yale University.
