2008

  • Plantronics expands its growing portfolio of unified communications solutions with Plantronics PerSonoCall® Plug-In for IBM Sametime 8.0.
  • Plantronics presents the Plantronics Discovery® 925 Bluetooth® earpiece collection, a signature line of designer headsets for both men and women.

2007

  • Plantronics introduces the Discovery 665 and AudioIQ, the industry’s first DSP sound technology to automatically optimize audio levels on both sides of every call.
  • Plantronics debuts the .Audio™ 480 Virtual Phone Booth™ headset for laptop multimedia and Internet conversations. Plantronics also refreshes its entire line of .Audio PC headsets with new designs and wearing styles.
  • Plantronics augments the Voyager Bluetooth headset family with the Voyager 520 and Voyager 855. Both products receive high accolades from industry groups, media and consumers.
  • Plantronics strengthens its relationship with Microsoft, announcing that the SupraPlus® Wideband USB professional headset is optimized for Microsoft Office Communicator 2007.
  • Plantronics unveils the Calisto™ Pro, a revolutionary home phone with a multi-function Bluetooth® headset that greatly simplifies and enhances voice communications for home professionals.

2006

  • Plantronics augments its award-winning family of wireless office headset systems with three new DECT 6.0 products: the CS70 for executives, the SupraPlus® Wireless for phone-intensive users, and the Plantronics Voyager™ 510SL with WindSmart® for mobile professionals.
  • Plantronics opens new manufacturing and design center in Suzhou, China. Plantronics Suzhou earns the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold certification for environmental sustainability — the only manufacturing facility in all of China to achieve LEED certification.
  • Plantronics announces that its suite of VoIP headsets solutions, including the Plantronics Voyager™ 510-USB, support IBM Lotus Sametime 7.5 software to enhance real-time collaboration in the office.
  • President Vicente Fox Quesada presents Mexico National Technology Award to Plantronics.

2005

  • Plantronics introduces three new lines of Bluetooth headsets: Explorer, Discovery and Pulsar. Together with the Voyager series, Plantronics offers the industry’s broadest portfolio of Bluetooth products.
  • Plantronics acquires Altec Lansing, a market leader in portable and powered audio systems. The agreement unites two leading audio brands with rich heritages and complementary strengths.
    • Plantronics new Voyager 510S, a Bluetooth headset system that connects to both mobile and office phones, wins "Best of Innovations" award at 2005 CES. 
    • Plantronics introduces the MX500 corded mobile headset, a CES Innovations honouree, featuring patent-pending WindSmart™ technology for crisp, clear conversations in noisy environments. 
    • The new MX100-s combines a headset with stereo headphones, allowing consumers to easily switch between their mobile phone and iPod at the touch of a button.

    2004

    • Walker-Ameriphone becomes Clarity, reinforcing Clarity as the leader in communications products for the hearing impaired, and leveraging the strength of the industry-leading Clarity Power technology.
    • The M3500 Bluetooth® headset with Audio IQ™ technology is introduced with digital signal processing that delivers breakthrough sound quality on both ends of the conversation.
    • The SupraPlus headset family, successor to the industry-leading Supra headset, is introduced for office and contact centre professionals.
    • The M2500 Bluetooth headset is introduced, bringing the benefits of wireless freedom to consumers in a feature rich, stylish design. 
    • Plantronics creates a custom headset for Halo 2, the new edition of the most popular game for Microsoft's Xbox console.
    • The new MX300 retractable headset with WindSmart™ technology eliminates tangled cords and provides improved voice clarity in windy conditions.
    • VoIP users join the wireless revolution with the CS50-USB, the industry's only wireless USB headset system to deliver call answer/end capability and remote ring detection.
    • Plantronics breaks ground for a new manufacturing complex in Suzhou, China. The nearly 200,000 square foot plant is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2005.
    • Plantronics wins Mexico's prestigious National Quality Award 2004, the equivalent to the United States' Malcolm Baldrige Award, for its Plantronics Mexico (PLAMEX) plant.

    2003

    • Plantronics launches the MX150 mobile headset, which leverages the Flex Grip design of the MX100 and adds the first "mid-boom" noise-cancelling microphone for improved sound quality.
    • True wireless freedom comes to the office with the stylish CS50/60 wireless headsets, delivering a new level of hands-free and productivity.

    2002

    • The award-winning MX100 reshapes the mobile headset "earbud" category with its unique FlexGrip™ design for increased stability and fit and an improved microphone for clearer conversations.
    • Plantronics continues to drive headset adoption with ongoing product placement in films and TV, and with co-promotions in popular feature films, including the James Bond film, "Die Another Day."
    • Plantronics announces new .Audio line of PC headsets and microphones.
    • Forbes Magazine recognises Plantronics as one of the Best Small Companies.

    2001

    • The new DuoPro™ convertible headset brings style and versatility to call centres and offices, and features a unique off-the ear design that increases comfort by eliminating pressure on the ear.
    • Plantronics introduces the M205, the next-generation earbud headset for mobile phones.
    • Plantronics' new DA50 digital headset adapter delivers clarity and convenience for VoIP softphones.

    2000

    • Home users gain cordless, hands-free convenience with the introduction of the CT10 Cordless Headset Telephone.
