Riding the CS70N Wave to Success

CS70N

Zach’s CS70N gives him a comfortable, secure fit during marathon design sessions.

For big-wave rider Zach Wormhoudt, life is a balancing act. Sometimes it’s on the face of a thirty-foot wave. And as a professional skatepark designer, he balances the needs of skateboarders with their communities, where constant collaboration results in world-renowned skateparks that capture the freedom of those giant swells. His high-performance lifestyle needs a high-performance headset to match, and with the CS70N™, Zach found a perfect balance of quality and comfort.

“On a really busy day, I make 20 to 30 calls. That’s not really a lot compared to other businesses, but they’re longer calls. Usually, I’ve got local skaters or professional skaters on the phone, and I’m constantly drafting AutoCAD® while we’re talking and emailing at the same time - it’s pretty cool. I’m posting files and we all look at them while we’re talking. I’ll say, ‘Ok - what do you think of that?’ and we can make changes in real time. That kind of phone conferencing is only possible because of the headset.”

Zach’s CS70N gives him a comfortable, secure fit during marathon design sessions.

“The world record ones go five or six hours - those are always a little bit scary. There’s one consultant up in Sonoma I work with remotely. I go to the office and we start working at 9 pm and go until one or two in the morning. I couldn’t even pretend to do that without this wireless headset.”

Zach upgraded from the CS50 and especially appreciates the CS70N headset’s noise canceling feature. “We’re located in an industrial building - there’s always the potential for wood planers and other machines in neighboring units to start up. The noise canceling really does work - my clients and consultants hear me loud and clear.”

He also experiences first-hand how the CS70N headset’s new DECT™ interference-free technology keeps conversation flowing. “With this headset, I could be doing anything when I’m on the phone. We run our own plotters, print large format drawings, and assemble proposals and documents. I’ve even used it when I’ve gone out to my car - I haven’t tested its limit, but it works perfect at about two hundred feet away.”

Overall, how does the CS70N help Zach create his innovative skateparks? “The best part about this headset, more than anything - it allows more freedom during the design phase. Both conceptually and physically, there’s less barriers to the process - making it truly hands free.”
