Find MyHeadset App: How to Find Your Headset

The Find MyHeadset app enables you to search for your headset in two ways:

  1. Send a Tone - If you think your headset is powered on and within 33 feet of your phone, choose Send Tone to play a sound file through your headset.
  2. Use BackTrack - This feature remembers where your headset was last in use. If you think your headset is too far away for you to hear a tone, or is powered off, use BackTrack to review its recent activity on a time-stamped map to learn where your hunt should continue.

Procedure

To find your headset by sending a tone:

  1. Open the Find MyHeadset app on your phone.
  2. Tap Send Tone.
  3. Adjust the volume, if necessary.

NOTE: Your media stream or media audio settings on your phone must be turned on in order for this feature to work.

To find your headset using the BackTrack feature:

  1. Open the Find MyHeadset app on your phone.
  2. Tap BackTrack. The app will display the location of last place you used the headset.

NOTE: GPS location services on your phone must be enabled in order for this feature to work.
