Voyager 510S/510SL/510SL+: How to Use Multipoint with the 500A Base and the BUA100 USB Adapter

How do I switch the audio link manually between the 500A base and the BUA100 USB adapter?

Procedure

To switch the audio link manually between the 500A base and the BUA100 USB adapter:

  1. Pair the 510 headset to the 500A base.
  2. Verify that the headset can turn the base audio link on and off by pressing the call control button on the headset. The blue light on top of the 500A base will flash when the audio link is on.
  3. Unplug the power from the 500A.
  4. Pair the headset to the BUA100 USB adapter.
  5. Verify that the headset can turn the BUA100 audio link on and off by pressing the call control button on the headset. The blue light on the BUA100 will flash when the audio link is on.
  6. Turn off the headset.
  7. Plug in the power to the 500A.
  8. Turn on the headset. Both the BUA100 and the 500A should have a solid blue light after 30 seconds to a minute.
  9. The call control button should be able to turn the audio link to the BUA100 on and off consistently.

To connect to the 500A:

  1. If the light on the BUA100 is solid blue you only need to press the button on top of the 500A.
  2. If the light on the BUA100 is blinking you can press the call control button on the headset to close the audio link then press the button on top of the 500A to connect, or press the button on top of the 500A to connect then press the call control button on the 510 headset to drop the audio link of the BUA100. When the 510 headset is working through the 500A on the 500A the light on the BUA100 will be solid and the light on the 500A will be blinking.
