Alejandro Bustamante is Senior Vice President of Operations at Plantronics. In this role, he leads the company's Operations and Supply Chain organizations across both commercial and retail sectors. He oversees a global team that works strategically to drive cost and efficiency while improving flexibility of the value chain, enhancing fulfillment and customer support, and investing in operational capabilities that add value for stakeholders.
Bustamante joined Plantronics in 1994 and has more than twenty years of executive experience in operations management. Before taking on his current role in 2012, he was president of Plantronics Mexico. Under his leadership, the organization achieved great efficiencies and became a worldwide benchmark for best practices, receiving awards in fields such as quality, labor, corporate social responsibility, logistics, technology, manufacturing, human resources, and protection of the environment. Previously, he held several key executive positions in Operations Management at Matrix Aeronautica, where he was responsible from initial concept of the project to the start of the operation, serving as managing director. He also served as executive vice president of offshore factories.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from La Salle University in Mexico City and earned a master of business administration degree from Pepperdine University.
