Europe and Africa Limited Warranty
The terms of this Plantronics Limited Warranty shall apply to Plantronics products purchased within Europe and Africa.
What is the Warranty Period?
Plantronics offers a ninety (90) day, one (1), two (2) or three (3) year limited warranty depending on the product. The warranty period is stated on the product box and in the in-box collaterals. The warranty period starts on the date of purchase of a brand new, unused product by the initial first end user. Plantronics will require copy of the original proof of purchase of the initial first end user as a condition of receiving warranty service. Please note that the duration of the warranty depends on the laws of your country. We strongly advise you to keep your receipt of purchase in order to prove the date of purchase of this product.
Plantronics warrants that the products are free from defects in materials and workmanship, with its obligations under this warranty being limited (save in the case of sole gross negligence causing death or personal injury) to repair or replacement at its own expense provided a claim is made within the warranty period applicable to the product.
What Plantronics Will Do to Correct Problems?
Pursuant to this limited warranty, Plantronics will, at its option, repair or replace products (a) with new or previously used products, parts, or components equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or (b) with re-manufactured products using new components or new and used or reconditioned components equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or (c) with a product equivalent to an original product that has been discontinued.
Refund of the price paid is applicable only in cases provided in the applicable law and provided that the product is returned to the point of purchase or such other place as Plantronics may direct with a copy of the sales receipt. Shipping and handling charges may apply except where prohibited by applicable law. When a product or part is replaced, the replacement item becomes your property and the returned product or part becomes the property of Plantronics. All products received by Plantronics for replacement will become the property of Plantronics.
For products sold with customized, user-replaceable batteries manufactured by Plantronics, in the event the battery fails during the Warranty Period, Plantronics will replace the battery. For products sold with batteries that are not user-replaceable, in the event the battery fails during the Warranty Period, Plantronics will replace the product.
What is the Period of Coverage?
In the unlikely event that your product has recurring failures or Plantronics is unable to repair or replace the product, Plantronics will provide you with a replacement product selected by Plantronics that is the same or equivalent to your product in performance. This is your exclusive remedy for a defective product.
Any replaced/repaired product will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or:
- a) 30 days of the original 90 days warranty, or
- b) 90 days of the original 12, 24 or 36 months warranty,
whichever is longer or for any additional period of time that may be applicable in your jurisdiction.
What Does This Warranty Not Cover?
1) products used in contact centres not intended for intensive use;
2) products that are operated in combination with software, peripheral or ancillary equipment such as but not limited to batteries, chargers, adapters, amplifiers, headsets, connector cables, and power supplies ("Ancillary Equipment") not furnished or otherwise certified by Plantronics for use with the Plantronics products or any damage to the Plantronics products or ancillary equipment as a result of such use;
3) defects caused by (a) an act of God (such as a flood), accident, fire, misuse, neglect, unusual physical or electrical stress, or modification; (b) improper or unauthorized installation, wiring, repair, testing or (c) any other cause beyond normal usage;
4) instances in which someone other than Plantronics (or its authorized service centres) tests, alters, repairs, modifies or services the products in any way;
5) 5) products that have: (a) serial numbers or date tags that have been removed, altered or obliterated; (b) board serial numbers that do not match each other, or board serial numbers that do not match the housing; or (c) nonconforming or non-Plantronics housings or parts;
6) consumable spares and accessories (unless they are found to be non-functional or broken upon purchase of product), such as:
- Cases and case parts
- Modular / Device specific plug or connector cords
- Voice Tubes
- Decorative Finishes
- Removable non-customised (non-Plantronics) batteries
- Eartips, Eartip Kits, Ear Cushions, Ear Loops and Ear BudeezTM
IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THOSE OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT SHALL (A) HAVE NO DURATION GREATER THAN 90 DAYS OR 1 OR 2 OR 3 YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE DEPENDING ON THE PARTICULAR PRODUCT, (B) TERMINATE AUTOMATICALLY AT THE END OF THAT PERIOD, AND (C) TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BE EXCLUDED. Consequential and incidental damages, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROPERTY AND THOSE ARISING FROM BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY, ARE NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PLANTRONICS, AND TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, are excluded.
No warranty is made that the software provided by Plantronics will meet your requirements or will work in combination with any hardware or applications software products provided by third parties, that the operation of the software products will be uninterrupted or error free, or that all defects in the software products will be corrected.
No Other Warranties
Except as set forth above, and in the printed warranty which accompanies the Products, Plantronics grants no other warranties, express or implied, by statute or otherwise, regarding the products, their fitness for any purpose, their quality, their marketability or otherwise.
Limitation of Liability
Plantronics' liability under the terms of the above warranty is limited to replacement of product units found to be defective in materials or workmanship. Plantronics shall have no liability other than as provided under warranty to distributor, whose sole remedy shall be as provided by Plantronics under this section. In no event shall Plantronics be liable for the cost of procurement of substitute goods by distributor or for any special, consequential, reliance or incidental damages, however caused, or under any theory of liability, even if Plantronics has been advised of the possibility of such damages. These limitations will apply notwithstanding the failure of essential purpose of any limited remedy.
What Law Governs This Warranty
This limited Warranty is governed by and construed under the laws of the country in which the product was originally purchased. For consumer transactions, the limited Warranty terms contained in this statement, except to the extent lawfully permitted, do not exclude, restrict, or modify but are in addition to the mandatory statutory rights applicable to the sale of this product to you.

Before submitting a warranty claim, we recommend that you visit www.plantronics.com/support/for technical assistance. Valid warranty claims are generally processed through the point of purchase during the first thirty (30) days after purchase; however, this period of time may vary depending on where you purchased your product. Please check with Plantronics or the retailer where you purchased your product for details.
Alternatively Plantronics offers a simple online system for logging a defect product and claim a replacement product, available 24/7. Please register your product on www.plantronics.com/support/. To determine the start of the warranty period we will ask you for a purchase receipt of the initial first end user or the manufacturing date code on the product.
Warranty claims that cannot be processed through the point of purchase and any other product related questions should be addressed directly to Plantronics. Any claim under this limited warranty is subject to you notifying Plantronics or the point of purchase of the alleged defect within a reasonable time of it having come to your attention and in any event no later than before the expiry of the warranty period.
