Question

Other players complain that the volume level of my voice is too loud or too soft. My voice is not clear to other players. Other players hear echo when chatting with me.
 

Answer

  • Always check the connections of your headset to your host device, PC or console. Also check that the microphone boom is connected properly to your headset.
 
  • Check that the microphone boom tip is facing your mouth and not twisted. Refer to your user guide and product images for proper orientation.
 
  • If your voice is too loud for other players, move the microphone tip farther away from your mouth. Also check your audio settings and reduce the sensitivity, or input level, for your microphone.
 
  • If your voice is too soft for other players, move the microphone tip closer to your mouth. Also check your audio settings and increase the sensitivity, or input level, for your microphone.
 
  • If you or other players hear echo, try to disconnect from the chat service and reconnect, establishing a better network connection.
 
  • When other players complain of echo, turn down the game or headphone volume level on your device.
