Ken Kannappan serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Plantronics.
Upon joining Plantronics in 1995, Kannappan spent two years leading the sales organizations in Asia Pacific, Latin America, the U.S. and Europe. In 1997, he was named Senior Vice President responsible for Plantronics Worldwide Operations, Plantronics Mobile and Clarity divisions and Plantronics Limited. A year later, he was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer and named to the Board of Directors. He assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer in 1999.
Prior to joining Plantronics, Kannappan was Senior Vice President of Investment Banking for Kidder, Peabody & Co. Incorporated.
Kannappan is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mattson Technology, Inc., a supplier of advanced process equipment for the semiconductor industry. He is also a board member of Integrated Device Technology (IDT), a company that develops system-level solutions that optimize its customers' applications.
He is Vice Chairman of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG) and serves on the Advisory Board of Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County.
Kannappan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Yale University and a Master's of Business Administration from Stanford University.
